This page uses the 3D JavaView viewer to show real-time double-difference hypocenter locations of earthquakes in Northern California. The box below is centered on event 72168931, which has the following hypoDD-RT solution:
Date: 2014/02/16 | Time: 16:31:4.710 | Latitude: 35.87006 | Longitude: -121.48390 | Depth: 9.802 | Magnitude: 3.20
Quality: 1 | Shift: 0.981 | Version: 5.1The high-resolution background seismicity included in the box comes from two double-difference catalogs. Hypocenters for the years 1984-2009 are taken from the DD catalog for Northern California (NCAeqDD.v200912.1). Hypocenters from 2010 up to present are taken from the real-time double-difference catalog DD-RT (NCAeqDD-RT.v201001). Earthquakes from the DD catalog are represented by gray circles, those from the DD-RT catalog by colored circles.
There are 112 earthquakes in the box. Magnitude cutoff is 1 (except for events within the last week).
